I did a chemical peel with Dr Emmaline of Ashley Aesthetics. I was interested in a deep peel and after checking the platform, before and afters I decided to go for the Epionce Corrective Peel. In this picture, no foundation nor concealer, no base.

The experience was great, Dr Emmaline was extremely kind, answer all my questions, did everything to make sure I was comfortable as my peel was quite intense 28% Salicylic Acid (self-neutralising) followed by a 50% Malic Acid. She made sure I was okay and followed up few days later.

As per my stories you can see the glow and result right after the treatment and I am really happy to see some scars have improved. All in all, as someone who was burnt in the past, I highly, highly recommend checking Glowday.

  • Chemical peels use different medical compounds in a serum and apply them to the skin. This loosens the bonds between cells and allows the top layer of dead skin cells to slough off. Typically, chemical exfoliation is used to remove the outer dead layer of skin and stimulate a fresh new layer of skin. The goal is to improve the overall quality of your skin's texture and tone. Peels can therefore improve the appearance of fine lines and winkles, hyperpigmentation, acne, and sun-damaged skin.

  • Common side effects include mild discomfort and pain with stinging or itching, temporary redness post-peel, and skin flaking which will resolve.

  • Dr Emmaline offers superficial and medium-depth peels. Superficial peels will only remove the very outer layer of the skin, known as the epidermis. Medium-depth peels will remove the outer layer of the skin and reach the very upper portion of the dermal layers.
